It does help relax the head & neck & shoulder muscles. Which after along day typing at a computer - can be a welcome relief. I wouldn't say this product does anything beyond aiding in muscle relaxation. It didn't do anything to help when I need a real adjustment from the chiropractor. So if you want something to help those tight shoulder & neck muscles at the end of a long day, this will help. It might be more beneficial if made from more heavy duty products and redesigned slightly. She was in much pain and this little device was the best thing we found for alleviating it. Over the years we BOTH have come to depend on it and it always faithfully gets rid of pent-up stress, especially in the neck, jaw, and back. Indeed, we don't travel without it now. One word of advice; be sure to be patient with this device; it needs time to work - 10 minutes at a minimum IMO. And if you are wondering about quality consider this - yes, the materials are worth a LOT less than the finished product but balancing that is the fact that there is definitely enough quality there to get the job done.
